Dutch dominance at Youth Cycling Tour

by isleofman.com 29th April 2006
Local Scott Flynn won the Youth A race on day one of the third Isle of Man Youth Cycling Tour.
In the junior race, a quality Dutch entry made its mark.

Time Trial Champion, Jetse Bol, was the winner, with Dutch Track Champion, Pim Ligthart, the runner-up.
Sam Webster and an unfortunate Johnny McEvoy completed the top four line-up.

McEvoy was challenging for a podium finish but his foot came off the pedal at the final corner.

Warren Flynn was the leading Manx finisher.

Stage Two will be held over the tough Ellerslie road circuit tomorrow (Sunday) before the Tour concludes at the National Sports Centre.
