Laxey draw Ramsey in cup semi-final

by isleofman.com 2nd May 2006
Division One Champions Laxey have drawn Ramsey in the semi-finals of the Hospital Cup.

The Miners, who have also secured the FA and Railway cups this season, beat relegated Old Boys 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

Ramsey overcame Division Two Champions Union Mills 4-1.

In the other tie, third and second placed St Georges and Peel will meet in what should be a close encounter.

St Georges dumped second division Corinthians out of the competition on Sunday after a 8-0 thrashing, and Peel booked their semi-final spot with a 3-0 defeat of Woods Cup winners Colby.
