Government cars and 'personal' use

For those who have them, the company car can be a sigificant 'perk'.

But what about government-funded vehicles which are used outside of duty hours?

Ramsey MHK Anne Craine is concerned at the number of works' vehicles which are apparently being made available for personal use and driven by non-government employees.

She's raising the issue in a question in the House of Keys today (Tues).

All government departments have cars for official duties - and Mrs Craine (pictured) wants to know what checks are made to prevent their abuse.

She's thinks this is happening on a regular basis:
