A new river management officer has been appointed to oversee the Island’s watercourses.
Doctor Karen Galtress is taking on the job, which will give advice on flooding and scouring, conservation and maintaining water quality.
The three-year project is led by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry but involves a total of three government departments.
