Isle of Man hosting CPA meeting

The Isle of Man is playing host to around 40 delegates from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Senior members of Parliament from across the Commonwealth are here for their mid-year meeting and discovering what the Island is all about.

Events got underway at an opening ceremony in the Tynwald Chamber earlier today, while tomorrow delegates will have lunch with the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Chair of the Isle of Man branch of the CPA, Peel MHK Hazel Hannan (pictured), felt it was time for the Island to host such a gathering:
