Cholesterol - a 'silent epidemic'!

It is a silent epidemic which, according to doctors, is affecting hundreds of people in the Isle of Man.

Cholesterol is a fat-like waxy substance which has a important role to play in building and repairing cells and producing hormones.

However when levels in the body are too high, it can lead to serious problems such as heart disease.

It's though 7 out of ten people over the age of forty could suffer from high cholesterol.

Celebrity GP, Dr Chris Steele, says as there are usually no symptoms, everyone should get it checked out - just in case:
