Emerald Airways 'not competent' - CAA

by isleofman.com 8th May 2006
More details have emerged of the reasons behind the grounding of two Emerald Airways aircraft at Ronaldsway.

In a statement the Civil Aviation Authority says it is no longer satisfied Emerald is competent to operate safely.

Emerald's Air Operators Certificate was suspended late last week, and the two ATP aircraft they operated on behalf of Euromanx on the Liverpool route, grounded.

The CAA says Emerald must satisfy them they are competent to operate safely, if they wish to have the Air Operators Certificate re-instated.

Euromanx has made alternative arrangements and at the weekend was operating an Air Atlantique ATR72 on the Liverpool route.
