Government quizzes publlic about taxis

The Government is carrying out a detailed investigation into how much people know about Manx taxi services and what changes they would like to see.

Collators are out questioning people in Douglas. They will be doing that for the next three days. Next week they will be positioned at taxi ranks to find out the views of those people.

There has been a long running discusion about how many taxi licenses should be issued, the ability of taxi drivers to pick up fares on the street or outside their own particular areas.
