Silverdale vandalised

by isleofman.com 10th May 2006
Vandals have attacked a treasured children's roundabout with historic value in the Isle of Man.

Three of the wooden horses on the Victorian water-powered swing at Silverdale Park were damaged sometime over the weekend.

Police say around ?500 worth of damage has been caused - while the enjoyment of many familes in the warm weather has been spoiled.

The attraction is now beyond use.

Anyone with information is asked to ring Port Erin police station on 832 222 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
