Laxey crowned Champions

Football - Laxey were formally presented with the Division One trophy at Douglas Road after their one-nil victory over Peel last night (Thursday).

The goal was scored in the first half by Johnny Callow.

Laxey have completed an unbeaten league campaign, and with the Cup successes have yet to lose a match all season.

Only the Hospital Cup remains unclaimed from Manx Football's so-called "Grand Slam".

However, Laxey Coach Paul Bridson is expecting a tough game in Sunday's semi-final against Ramsey:-
