Brown arson case

A 43 year old man charged with arson has appeared before Deemster Doyle at a Court of General Gaol.

William Dickson Brown of Osborne Grove, Douglas, denied a charge of arson being reckless as to whether the life of Joseph William Hawthorne and three others would be in danger.

He also denied threatening to kill or seriously injure Mr Hawthorne, and threatening to kill or seriously injure Ralph Martin Jones, and Mark Anthony Jones.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between September 1st and the 26th last year in Douglas.

Brown has been remanded in custody until June 12th for a trial date to be fixed.
