Sharpe hits back in funding row

Great Britain cyclist Ian Sharpe is denying his withdrawl from last weekend's Paralympic World Cup meeting at Manchester was a protest at a lack of funding.

The Laxey rider, who won two golds at last year's European Paralympic Championships in Holland, has missed out on financial help this season as he didn't want to leave the Island to live in Manchester.

However, he says he does have issues with British Cycling over the way money has been allocated:-
