The Foundation Stone of the new prison in Jurby will be laid by Home Affairs Minister John Shimmin this afternoon.
He will be joined by former Minister Philip Braidwood, Rushen MHK and department member Quintin Gill (pictured on site), and Michael MHK David Cannan.
Mr Shimmin says today's event is largely ceremonial as building has been taking place on site for many months:
