Speed letter sent to politicians

by isleofman.com 15th May 2006
A road safety group is continuing its fight against an all-Island speed limit.

Safer Island Driving is sending open letters to all MHK's and MLC's asking each one whether they will support a national speed limit.

The group thinks the Department of Transport's public consultation was biased, and believes there are more practical and effective ways to reduce accidents on our roads.

Representatives from SID have been invited to attend the next Road Safety Initiative Committee meeting.
