Christian Aid week

It's Christian Aid week and Island residents are being asked to give what they can to support some of the world's poorest people.

Householders will soon be receiving the red donation envelopes through their letterbox.

?35,000 was raisd in last year's appeal to provide water supplies in Ehtiopia.

This year the money will help impoverished famrers in Bolivia establish land rights.

The Isle of Man is always said be a very generous society - but are local good causes sometimes overshadowed by big international issues?
