Speaker critical of health and safety report

There is severe criticism of a Tynwald report into health and safety legislation, which is due to be considered by the Court today (Tuesday).

Speaker of the House of Keys Tony Brown is extremely disappointed with the findings, saying the select committee missed the point, after examining the issue for two years.

On 'Agenda' last night he dismissed the main recommendation, that the health and safety executive should become a separate organisation, with a chairman appointed by Tynwald:
