Drugs man jailed

A man has been jailed by the High Bailiff for three months for drugs offences.

Trevor William Gardner of Hillside Avenue, Douglas, appeared for sentence after admitting four offences of possessing cannabis resin and cannabis bush.

Gardner was arrested on August 18th at his home, where a quantity of the drug was found.

A further amount of bush and resin was found at the home of his girlfriend.

The drugs had a value of ?427. The court was told Gardner had paid ?650.

His advocate said it was solely for the defendant's own use.

Mr Moyle said Gardner had previous convictions for drug use and knew what the consequences would be.
