Government accounts released

The government has released its latest set of accounts for the last financial year.

The Treasury’s figures are the detailed management version which remain subject to audit.

After the public audit later this year, a more "user friendly" version will be publicly released and formally laid before Tynwald.

The accounts show net revenue expenditure of ?513 million, and capital expenditure of ?102 million.

The government says it spent ?5.7 million less than it had estimated for the year.

In total, ?10.2 million was spent pay awards, ?7.1 million on various DHSS initiatives and a total of ?16.0 million was spent on aid and legal costs associated with the MEA.
