A phrase fashioned by consultants and committes, and an age-old symbol will together form the basis of the Isle of Man's mission to "re brand" itself.
Tynwald agreed after a lengthy debate yesterday, to support the slogan 'Freedom to Flourish', in combination with the Three Legs of Man symbol.
The phrase aims to encapsulate the Island's core values while the three legs symbol is seen as the most enduring 'badge' of the Manx.
Members of the Keys and Legislative Council voted by a large majority in favour of the dual approach.
Chief Minister Donald Gelling says the whole branding exercise is now clearly focused: (first audio clip)
Meanwhile, Ramsey MHK Anne Craine was among those expressing reservations.
She fears too much emphasis has been given to the Island's status in the financial world.
But she hopes the sector will now get behind the branding effort - and prove it by recognising the importance of Tynwald Day when it's due to be launched: (second audio clip)
