"Safe in the sun" warning

"Be careful of the sun" is the message following the first hazy days of summer earlier this week. The sunshine so far has been hazy, but Angela Howland of the Safe in the Sun initiative says people could still be putting themselves at risk of skin damage and even melanomas by going out unprotected in such conditions. The most dangerous time is between eleven in the morning and three in the afternoon, when most people go out for lunch. Angela says even if you only take your sandwiches outside, you should try to protect yourself. She’s working with Douglas Corporation to bring the message home to workers sitting in the Sunken Gardens at lunchtime:
