Employer's Federation 'disappointed'

The Employer’s Federation says it is disappointed that there won’t be a Health and Safety Inspectorate for the Isle of Man.

Speaking after Tynwald quashed the proposals in a select committee report, federation president Tony Wood says it would have been a good idea.

He says such a body would have put Health and Safety legislation in the Island on a similar footing to the UK.

The body would have drawn its membership from a wide range of professional, government and private bodies, which Mr Wood (pictured) says would have been of benefit to federation members:
