Education Minister talks of special unit closure

Only one side of the story has been heard in relation to the closure of the Special Needs Unit at Jurby School.

So says Education Minister David Anderson, who maintains that the move was taken following a professional judgement which he backed, based on what they believe is best for the children generally.

Mr Anderson (pictured) claims there will be continuity in the children's education, wherever they go, and he does not believe the closure of the unit flies in the face of the Island's recently declared 'brand image':
