Call for ambulance service to receive updated equipment

by isleofman.com 20th May 2006
North Douglas MHK John Houghton will call for updated equipment for the ambulance service in the House of Keys on Tuesday.

He’ll ask DHSS Minister Steve Rodan whether ambulance staff and paramedics are properly equipped to deal with chemical, biological or nuclear incidents.

Mr Houghton (pictured) says the fire service and police force have specialist gear to deal with any such episodes.

He says he wants reassurances those helping to treat any casualties have similar capabilities.
