Sportsman of the Year David Knight gave KTM’s new 250 EXC-F a winning British debut at the second round of the WOR Events GB Hare Scramble series.
The reigning Enduro 3 world champion topped the Premier class having comfortably finished two laps ahead of his nearest rival.
After winning round one on his factory 525 EXC Knighter proved that he isn’t just a big bike specialist and powered the pre-production quarter litre machine to a convincing win.
Starting almost as quickly as the two-stroke mounted Premier class rivals Knighter quickly moved into second and soon after passed ’05 GB Hare Scramble champion Ryan Voase to go into the lead.
From that point on Knighter was never headed and opened up a sizeable lead on the first lap. Pushing hard for several more laps the Manxman then continued to maintain his rapid pace in the wet, rutted and muddy conditions stopping just twice for goggles and fuel.
Managing to complete 12 laps during the three-hour race David finished two complete laps ahead of his closest competitor Euan McConnell with Andrew Edwards rounding off the podium.
