Laxey win Grand Slam

Laxey have made history after becoming only the fourth team in history to win football’s Grand Slam.

The Miners added the final title to their collection on Sunday afternoon, by beating St George's in the final of the Hospital Cup 4-3.

Chris Brown put them into the lead, and Rob Sorby took them to 2-0.

Geordies then came back through Chris Feeney and Johnny Myers, before Laxey regained the lead through Neil Brogan.

The prolific Callum Morrissey hit back for St Georges taking it to 3-3, before Nigel Beattie scored for Laxey minutes from time.
