Ballasalla woman to sue consultants

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2006
It has been revealed that a Ballasalla woman is to sue four consultants for treatment she received at Noble’s Hospital.

The damages claim has been lodged by Virginia Dowty after an operation for a back problem in 1998, following which she was left seriously ill in a coma for a month.

She’s claiming damages for loss of mobility, impaired sight and loss of earnings, and has since paid for a series of private treatments.

No trial date has yet been set with advocates for both the plaintiff and defendants hoping the matter can go to mediation.
