Blues festival arrests

Ten people are due to be charged with public order offences at the Laxey Blues Festival this weekend.

Police say the event went largely without incident - with a real party atmosphere at most locations.

But officers have condemned a small minority for anti-social behaviour and have expressed dismay at the quantity of alcohol confiscated from under age drinkers - some as young as 13.

Inspector Sid Caine was in charge of policing the Laxey Festival, he says their low-key but visible presence was the right approach:
