National Volunteer Week

The sterling service provided by a small army of volunteers at Noble's Hospital is in the spot light this week.

It's National Volunteer Week - and organisations around the Isle of Man are taking part in the UK-wide event in an attempt to attract more willing workers to their ranks.

Scores of volunteers help keep Noble's hospital running smoothly - from the greeters in reception to those running trolley services in the wards.

Volunteer Services Manager Alison Lester says they fulfill a vital role:
