Wet start to new Cricket season

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2006
The Manx Cricket season has got off to a miserable start.

Last week was virtual washout with only a handful of games played. Only one match went ahead last Saturday, with rain wiping out all of Sunday's and Monday's fixtures.

The forecast for Tuesday evening, and the rest of the week, offers little encouragement.

Grounds, particularly those with grass wickets, are reported as being sodden and in need of a dry spell to allow conditions underfoot to improve.
