Recycling bins relocated for TT

Recycling will NOT be suspended during TT week, but the bins at the Grandstand are moving.

For the motorcycling fortnight they will be relocated to the Noble's Park entrance.

They will return to the Grandstand on June 13th.

The Waste Operations Management unit is urging the public to continue recycling their paper, glass and aluminium by using any one of the alternative sites available.

DOLGE's recycling manager Stephanie Grey (pictured) says overall the people on the Island are good at using re-cycling bins, but the Island needs to move on: (first audio clip)

Ms Grey rejects the idea that the Governor's Hill recycling scheme which finished last year was a failure: (second audio clip)
