Police expenses questioned
Expenses claims put forward by Cheshire Police will continue to be the subject of questions from North Douglas MHK John Houghton. (pictured)

He has vowed to find out how much was claimed for food, drink and other subsistence costs while they investigated bugging allegations at the Isle of Man police headquarters.

In the House of Keys yesterday, he quizzed Home Affairs Minister John Shimmin about the amount, but was told no details could be given until individual officers gave their permission for the figures to be released.

Mr Houghton says that’s not good enough.
