International Monetary Fund meetings in the Island

by isleofman.com 25th May 2006
The Treasury has been meeting other small economies under the auspices of the International Monetary Fund.

The jurisdictions represented at the annual coordinated portfolio investment society reads like a where’s where of financial centres.

Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man all had delegates at the Hilton Hotel and Old Lonan Church Farm Conference Suite.

The IMF gave an overview of survey results around the world before the meeting went into various issues relating to developments in financial markets.

The results of the annual survey are available online, with results for more than 70 countries.
