August Rally to be called Rally Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 25th May 2006
The name of August's international car rally has been changed to Rally Isle of Man.

It's claimed it refects the principles behind the recently launched project to rebrand the Isle of Man.

However, May's national rally was sponsored this year and called the Royal Bank of Scotland International Manx Rally. This led to some confusion as the August event was previously called the Manx International Rally.

Rally Isle of Man is a round of several major series including the British Rally Championship.
