Viking festival launched

The Vikings will once again land in the Isle of Man later this year.

But unlike the original invasion, this will be restricted to a week in Peel in July.

The Viking Festival was launched in the Sunset City this morning, at the spot where a period village, including a 50 foot longhouse, will be created.

It's also where around 400 re-enactors from all over the world will be housed.

There will also be a large stage erected on the beach, for a two night music festival.
