Two beaches recommended

The Isle of Man's beaches are improving, but there is a long way to go

This year's Marine Conservation Society Good Beach Guide, which is published today, recommends Derby Haven and Gansey for their excellent water quality.

Last year only one received the accolade.

The number of bathing sites failing the EC Mandatory water quality standard fell from nine in 2005 to four this year, out of the total of 16 beaches tested
