Twenty five sightings have been reported around the Island so far.

The majority of the sightings were in the south of the Island, around Port Erin, Port St Mary, the Calf and Spanish Head, and most were seen last weekend.

Members of the pubic who may spot a shark in the Island's waters over the next few months are asked to report them on the basking shark hotline, 801345.

Latest sightings are also listed on the basking shark website.

You should go to www.isleofman.com then click on basking sharks.
