Big increase in arrivals by sea

by isleofman.com 29th May 2006
Passenger figures for April show a huge increase on the number of people arriving by sea last year.

April’s statistics are up 32% in 2005 – with more than 56,000 arrivals coming through Douglas.

Figures on the year to date show a 2% rise, while 3% more vehicles used ferries.

Director of Harbours Captain Michael Brew said this year’s figures reflect a late Easter, although there’s been steady growth year on year.
