Collins drink-drive sentence adjourned

The High Bailiff has adjourned sentence on a 32 year old woman for reports.

Louise Collins of Cronkbourne Village, Braddan, admitted drink driving and driving without due care and attention.

Sergeant John Manley, prosecuting, said police in Peel received a call in the early hours of May 4th from the defendant who told them that she had crashed her car in Peveril road and hit a parked vehicle. She also told them that she had been drinking.

Samples provided showed a blood alcohol reading of 246 millligrammes, the legal limit is 80mg.

Collins was bailed until June 20th with a condition not to drive.
