Homes plan for football ground

by isleofman.com 31st May 2006
Football fans have reacted with fury to proposals by an Isle of Man company to build homes on the site of Cambridge City’s ground.

Ross River, registered in the Island, wants to put 32 terraced houses and 198 flats on the Milton Road stadium.

Cambridge’s planning committee is considering whether to grant permission for the development, but fans are already objecting.

A spokesman for the Supporters’ Trust accused the company of putting the boot into the club.
