McGuinness breaks record again - unofficially!

by isleofman.com 1st June 2006
It was a record breaking night on the Mountain Course during yesterday's (Wednesday) practice - all unofficial of course.

On his second flying lap, Morecambe's John McGuinness went through at 127.8 miles-per-hour, his own record is 127.326.

And as ever, the man from Morecambe was quite laid back about what he'd done (audio file attached).

Then from a standing start, Dave Molyneux and Craig Hallam did a lap in 19 minutes, 28.67 seconds - two seconds inside the record set by Moly last year.

At 116.224 the outfit didn't show any sign of the clutch problems which hindered the team on Tuesday, and Moly told Charlie Williams he was well pleased (audio file attached).
