There’s a Manxman at the helm of the Island’s ship registry for the first time.
Dick Welsh has been appointed director of the marine administration.
He’d previously worked for Lloyds Register as a surveryor and worked in Denmark and China overseeing the construction of new vessels.
The Manx government’s former marine surveyor, he spoke to Stuart Peters earlier today.
