TT Klaffenbock wishes Molyneux well

by isleofman.com 2nd June 2006
A fellow competitor is wishing eleven times TT winner Dave Molyneux a speedy recovery from the shoulder injuries and friction burns he received in his spill at Rhencullen yesterday. Boss of the Klaffi Honda team, Klaus Klaffenbock (pictured) saw the aftermath of the accident (audio file attached): Molyneaux is described as "comfortable" in hospital. His passenger, Craig Hallam, also has friction burns from the accident which stopped yesterday afternoon's practice. He received treatment but wasn't detained. The Honda sidecar was badly burned when fire engulfed it just after the crash. There is better news today of the Japanese rider Jun Maeda, who was badly injured in a practice crash on the Ballahutchin up out of Union Mills. He has improved sufficiently to be transferred to a hospital in Manchester for specialist help on his pelvic injuries. His condition is described as "stable". The other man involved in that crash, Seamus Greene, is critical but stable in hospital on Merseyside. Robbie Silvester was in the Intensive Treatment Unit in Noble's hospital but has now been transferred to a normal ward. He has pelvic and leg injuries after being involved in an accident with David Bell at Greeba yesterday. Bell was discharged after treatment to a broken wrist. Also injured yesterday was Keith Stewart who is in Noble's with leg injuries, after coming off at the 33rd milestone.
