Consumers in the Isle of Man are now buying 50 per cent more Fairtrade products year on year.
Sales of the goods, ranging from chocolate to tea, totalled ?140 million in Britain last year.
But as well as paying a fair price for their products, the Fairtrade network also supports producer programmes and improves the infrastructure of the areas involved.
