by isleofman.com 2nd June 2006
Monday's Sidecar race is likely to be a close affair judging from the times in tonight's practice session.

The fastest outfit was that of Nicky Crowe and Darren Hope, who went round at 110.85 miles an hour on a flying lap.

That was slightly slower than a speed of 11.86 in an previous session.

Klaus Klaffenbock and Christian Parzer reached their fastest speed ever, 110.286 miles an hour.

Third fastest tonight were Steve Norbury and Scott Parnell, at 109.9.

Scott spoke to Manx Radio's Chris Kinley (audio file attached):

Pre-race favourites Dave Molyneux and Craig Hallam will not be racing next week, following an accident at Rhencullen yesterday.

In fact Moly has announced he will never race around the Mountain course again.

Instead he will concentrate on the world championships.

The pair unofficially broke the outright lap record on Wednesday.

Molyneux is still in hospital and has a chipped bone in his shoulder, broken ribs, cuts and friction burns.

Passenger Craig Hallam also received friction burns but was discharged after treatment.
