British Irish Council meeting

The British Irish Council met yesterday to discuss environmental issues.

Chief Minister Donald Gelling and DLGE Minister John Rimington were representing the Island at the body.

The main focus of the meeting was climate change with the increased likelihood of extreme weather events.

Among the issues raised were the effects climate change would have on energy and transport infrastructure, as well as implications on economies.
