The inquest of a man found dead in the hallway of a house in East Baldwin has been opened and adjourned.
Forty-nine year old Geoffrey Barfoot was discovered at the property in Ballaoates Road on Monday, with a ligature made of rope around his neck.
In a post mortem, pathologist Dr Christopher Clague told the inquest at Douglas courthouse (pictured) that Mr Barfoot was found dead due to asphyxia as a result of hanging.
