The chairman of the Manx Fish Producers' Association has resigned from the position.
Laurie Henley says he is standing down for 'personal reasons', having taken over the reigns towards the end of last year.
The association says he didn't explain the reasons in his letter of resignation.
However, Manx Radio understands he is due to appear in court tomorrow, charged with a public order offence.
It is thought the charge follows an incident on the quayside at Peel (pictured).
The association says it's sorry Mr. Henley has resigned as chairman, describing him as "a great voice for the industry over the years".
Mr. Henley, who owns the Peel registered fishing boat New Dawn, will remain a member of the association.
