Closed circuit TV in the centre of Castletown is to be given a helping hand.
The town’s commissioners have applied to borrow up to ?44,000 over ten years to replace public lighting in the market square/parade area.
Two damaged lamps – one of which is around 75 years old - need to be replaced.
It is also hoped the new lights will help provide clearer pictures for the local authority’s security cameras.
