Normandy veterans to gather in St. John's

This Sunday marks the 62nd anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.

To mark the occasion a Service of Remembrance will held at the Royal Chapel at St John's, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial.

The service will get underway at 3pm and will be attended by the Lieutenant Governor Vice Admiral Paul Haddacks and Lady Haddacks.

Honorary Secretary of Isle of Man Branch of the Normandy Veterans Association, Harry Sutters, says the service is to remember all those who have lost their lives in battle:
