Henley - bailed for reports

by isleofman.com 7th June 2006
Sentence on a 48 year old man has been adjourned by the High Bailff for reports to be prepared.

Michael John Lawrence Henley, of Ballaterson Crescent, Peel, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour in the sight or hearing of David Leece, who was likely to believe immediate unlawful violence would be used.

Sergeant John Manley said there was an incident at Peel breakwater after Mr Leece tied his fishing boat alongside the defendant's boat. The men argued and the defendant grabbed Mr Leece by the throat during a fight and he threatened Mr Leece.

His advocate said the defendant was deeply ashamed and he wished to apologise for his behaviour.

Henley was bailed until June 27th
